The First Day of Work

The components have arrived. The preliminary design report has already been sent. The only thing left to do was to actually start the work. It seemed easy until now… Now it was time to see if our team is well organized.

11 o’clock, Sunday morning. We were all ready for work at Andrei’s house. Immediately we started working: Victor photographed every part and worked with Maria, who connected the adaptors to the NRF’s and of course to the breadboards, Ioana and Vlad worked on programming the Arduino UNO and the two Nano’s and Andrei and Teodor worked on the 3D printing of the rover. Of course we moved around the roles a bit so that everybody could have a general idea of the rover and how it will be coming together.

So what did we achieve the first day we all met. We’d say it was a productive day. We achieved everything we wanted to do: the multiceiver network with 2 transmitters (the 2 mini research stations) and 1 receiver (the Arduino Uno from the rover) has been established, the two mini research stations were ready for inserting into the case and we booted up the Raspberry Pi, which had to download its updates. And most importantly, we’ve created new content for the blog!
