How adaptable are we?

maxitehnicus2021

It was Saturday. The sun had set for 3 hours already. Every member of our team was tired. We had been working for more than 12 hours that day. Andrei’s phone rings: “The term for the rovers has been delayed. For two weeks”.

What does that mean for us? Well for one testing can be delayed. Saturday when we got the message we were still working on the last touches of the rover and on Sunday the final test was scheduled. Although we still had two more weeks of work available we still decided to continue testing the rover that day. Sadly we can’t say it was too big of a success. It would have been a long night if we had sent it the next day. Now we will still meet in some days of the week to solve the problems we came across and that means that we could make our rover even better. Less weight and more agility are the things we’d like to improve most.

We could take the delay of the deadline both ways. We do have more time and could have small improvements on the rover (although we do have some bigger ideas we would need a new chassis and that takes too much time, effort and especially electricity), but so do the other teams. After all it’s the same situation for every team, so adaptability will come into play considering the situation.
